Emma & John's Inchcolm Island Wedding, Edinburgh
Edinburgh Wedding Photographer | Inchcolm Island Wedding
An Island location (reached by boat), a ceremony in a 12th century abbey, the most famous bridge in the world as a backdrop, a red double decker bus, reception in an exclusive hotel and finishing off...amazing fireworks set against the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. Fantastic scope for me as a wedding photographer in Edinburgh, and on the day itself - sun, glorious sun!
Emma and John's wedding was always going to be a really special day, and one of the weddings I've been looking forward to in my calendar the most. Starting at the foot of the Forth Rail Bridge, Emma (safely out of sight in the captain's cabin) along with John and their wedding party travelled to Inchcolm Island aboard the Maid of the Forth, and were married in Inchcolm Island's 12th century abbey, before returning to dry-land for onward travel into the city centre by red double decker bus!
Stopping on-route at St Giles' Cathedral on the Royal Mile the wedding party continued for a delicious wedding breakfast at the David Bann restaurant. Then finally back on the red bus, destination: the Sky bar in the Point Hotel with views overlooking Edinburgh castle and the famous fireworks marking the finale of the Edinburgh Festival. Wow! I'm almost out of breath just describing everything... The photographs include some of my best work this year - a true reflection of a breathtaking day... Congratulations Emma and John.
